Situated in the south of the island of Lanzarote, on the slopes of La Atalaya at 240m above sea level, Casa Rural Los Ajaches is surrounded by a wild natural landscape. It is a haven of peace and an ideal destination for those seeking tranquility and contact with nature.
Casa Rural Los Ajaches is one of the oldest houses on the Island and is located in the village of Maciot – one of the first Lanzarote settlements – which is inside the limits of a cultural zone called the “Zona Arqueológica de Castillejo-Morro Cañón”.
The Casa was traditionally called the “House of Lieutenant Jean of Betancourt”, (15th century), and despite having undergone various changes over the centuries, has not lost its historical value.
The house is a good example of the traditional local architectural style. It is built of stone and mud walls with a flat roof, these thick stone walls are retained in all the rooms of the property.
AccommodationThe house contains two rural apartments, “El Aljibe” and “La Destiladera”
